World of Hyatt introducing peak pricing in 2020

World of Hyatt, the loyalty program of one of the largest hotel brands, has announced some changes to its redemption options coming next year. Beginning in January 2020, Hyatt will increase the value of redemptions on dining, spa and in-room purchases – making it easier than ever to stretch points on these purchases.

In March 2020, Hyatt will also introduce a less exciting change to the program – peak pricing. The announcement follows in the footsteps of most other large hotel rewards programs, including Marriott Bonvoy – which introduced peak pricing earlier this year.

Until March 2020, World of Hyatt members can continue to redeem points for free nights at the standard rate, averaging an industry leading 2 cents per point of value. But beginning in March, free nights will be priced based on the following chart.
